Helping Ukraine

Back

In recent days, we have witnessed events that are unparalleled in our part of Europe for almost 80 years. Unjustified aggression leads to a humanitarian catastrophe in which innocent people are killed. That is why, like Penta, we have decided, in cooperation with our companies, to help alleviate the suffering of the Ukrainian population. In the first wave our companies will deliver Ukraine aid worth more than € 1 million. On top of that, employees from all our companies can donate money to transparent bank accounts. Until now, our employees donated more than € 110 000.

Aid packages for Ukraine

Our Hospitals Svet zdravia and Penta Hospitals CZ and also Dr. Max Pharmacies donated packages which contain medicines and medical supplies. In cooperation with local charities, these packages will be delivered to Ukrainian hospitals that need it the most.

Furthermore, Dr. Max Pharmacies Slovakia distribute first aid kits and medicines to refugee camps on Slovakia-Ukraine borders.

Health care for refugees

Our hospitals in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland are ready to provide health care for all Ukrainian refugees free of charge, regardless of their asylum status. We will also offer jobs to Ukrainian doctors, nurses or other healthcare workers.

Help to Ukrainian families

Many of our employees come from Ukraine, where they families and close ones live. That is why, if needed, all our companies organize their transportation from the borders and cover their expenses on accommodation and essentials.

Help for children from orphanages

Empik will donate € 62 000 to SOS Ukrainian Children foundation, which provides transport for children from Ukrainian orphanages to Poland. Empik is also providing the foundation with essentials for kids like beds, mattresses, school supplies or toys.

Humanitarian aid

In the Czech Republic, Vltava Labe Media organized a collection in three cities across the country. The humanitarian aid has been already delivered to people in Ukraine. Media house also supports journalists in Ukraine, so they can inform about what is happening in their country and therefore balance the disinformation about the war.

The Bory Mall provided space for the purposes of the humanitarian collection to the Association of Towns and Municipalities of Slovakia. This space in the shopping center also serves as a central collection point for sorting and completing material assistance for the entire district of Bratislava IV, from where it will be distributed to those who need it most today.

We have a challenging period ahead of us, which will require a great deal of solidarity and humanity. Therefore, many thanks to everyone who decided to help in any way.
