The community green terraces on the roofs of both Masarycka buildings have been recognised for their contribution to environmental protection and the return of greenery to urban areas. These include hundreds of trees and tens of thousands of grasses, sedges, succulents, sedums, bluebells and many species of flowering plants with pleasant seating and screening on the roof terraces, as well as a variety of greenery, trees and flowering plants in the adjacent street and plaza in front of the building. This project is a great example of how nature can be integrated into urban architecture to create a pleasant and sustainable environment for all residents. The general public liked the project so much that we received the People’s Choice Award in the Green Roof of the Year competition. We also received recognition from the expert jury as we won 1st place in the entire competition. The Green Roof of the Year competition, organised by the Green Roof and Façade Association, is an event aimed at promoting green roofs and sustainable urban development. This year, several projects entered the competition and were evaluated by both the expert jury and the public.
